Roller Coasters in Hawaii

Just like Delaware, there are NO roller coasters in the island state of Hawaii. (Unless you count the natural kind.) I did find one 7D theater in Kapolei that looks fun, but no actual coasters. BUT there is one major water park! Let’s take a look.

Water Park(s) in Hawaii

  • Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii in Oahu is the only water park, but it’s a big one with 12 big slides, two kid’s play areas, a FlowRider, a wave pool, and a lazy river on a lush hillside. It’s also the location of a highly-rated show, Chief’s Luau. Admission to the park is $54 and under, and parking is $15.

Wet ‘n’ Wild is also included in a Go Oahu Pass with attractions at Pearl Harbor, the royal palace, museums, natural attractions, and more. Chief’s Luau costs $99-175 (slightly less for kids.)

Resorts with “water park” pools

Several resorts in Hawaii have water park-like pool situations for those staying at the resort. I generally haven’t been covering those, only parks open to the general public. But I know that Disney’s Aulani Resort has two slides, a lazy river, and a large kid’s play area, plus a snorkeling cove and zero-entry pool. Several other resorts have a similar situation – here’s a list of 8 of the best.

Did I miss anything? Have you been to Hawaii? What are you looking forward to doing this summer? Let me know in the comments below!
